About Me

This blog is just a way for me to empty my brain. It seems that I am always thinking and putting down what's on my mind frees up space for more important issues. I talk about anything that I can think of. I love gymnastics, cycling, racing, sports, my wife, and have opinions about just about everything.

A little about me, if anyone wants to know. I was born October 27th 1981 and I am married to a great woman named Katie. We met while in college, working a gymnastics camp. She was so pretty that I just knew that I had to talk to her or I was going to regret it for the rest of my life, corny right. Well I did and so far so good, that was the summer of 2001.

I make a living coaching gymnastics at a premier gymnastics gym in St Louis. I am in charge of the girl's team program, and coach the top two levels of the team. It is a wonderful job and I am surrounded by people that are very serious about gymnastics and winning.

My biggest hobby is my cycling team, right now called Quantum Mesa Cycles. A friend and I started it a few years ago and it has grown into something that we are really excited about. Racing is something that keeps me feeling young, not that I am old, but the other day I felt like I was 19 years old again getting ready to go off to college to compete for the U of I men's gymnastics team. I have always been a competitive person and for the few years after I retired from gymnastics and did nothing, I was sort of without purpose. I have always thought of myself as an athlete and not being one was tough to get my head around.

I will never be a pro athlete, but that doesn't mean that I won't ever be involved with them. That is my dream, to be involved with great athletes, be that gymnastics, or anything else.  The future looks bright and I am excited for the ride. Checking these posts out from time to time will let you know what happens.
